Bai Mao Hou Green Tea, also named White Monkey Tea, is originated from the Taimu Mountain in the Fujian Province of China. The tea gets its name due to the appearance of the dried leaves which are green, changing and hidden white with large and beautiful silver pekoe covered on the surface, resembling a white-haired monkey's paw. The brewed tea soup is clear and bright with a fresh aroma of wildflower. The complex, lingering and remarkably refreshing aftertaste makes the tea more and more popular.
White Monkey is made from the top two leaves and the bud of new season growth.Even though this is a green tea, the visual appearance and cup liquor is so delicate that is can also be almost considered a White Tea. It produces a very light cup that is noticeably sweet, and infused with a fresh, delicate scent.
